Released mainly as an S/PDIF only equivalent of AYA II, the AYA III retains most of its advanced internal solutions. The AYA III is hence suggested AYA DAC purchase to all who need an S/PDIF but do not need a USB input.
The main AYA III features are:
● Encapsulated toroidal transformer with six secondary windings and electrostatic shield
● Common mode RC supply filtering
● Seven fully discrete, zero feedback, low noise regulators
● Transformer coupled, differentially terminated S/PDIF input
● TDA1541A D/A converter with no oversampling
● Audial unique zero feedback transimpedance I/V stage and output buffer, using Burr-Brown OPA861 "super transistor"
● High quality passive parts, including Schottky diodes, Panasonic FM and PPS, and Black Gate N capacitors, vintage Allen Bradley resistors etc.
● State of the art PCB layout
● Solid and compact machined aluminum chassis
Finish includes brushed front plate, engraved markings, and natural aluminum ("silver") anodizing.
